Homework - all children in year five bring home spellings to learn on a Monday which they are tested on the Friday. Maths homework is set once a week by their maths group teacher. We also expect all children to read and practise their tables and mental maths every week.
Food and fitness is going really well. Our groups have swapped over and the second group have started cooking. If you have not yet sent in the £6 contribution to cover the cost of ingredients, please do so as soon as possible.
Attached to the bottom of the page are our recipes for Thursday 7th May when our theme will be cooking with potatoes.
Year 5 Cymru Cooks
We are a pilot school for the Welsh Assembly Government Cymru Cooks Scheme.
The equipment and ingredients are provided for six weeks. Pupils have six weeks cookery instruction and six weeks of fitness activities.
